Strategic Planning for a Stronger Future: Our Board Retreat
The OI Society of Australia Board recently concluded its biennial strategy meeting, a crucial weekend dedicated to planning and shaping the direction of our organisation for the next two years. This year’s retreat was a productive and collaborative affair, held at Hotel Indigo in Adelaide, where board members came together to reflect on our achievements and chart a course for an even stronger future for the OI community in Australia.
Over the weekend, we engaged in thoughtful discussions, brainstorming sessions, and in-depth planning across various key areas, including member support, research advocacy, awareness initiatives, and organisational growth. We reviewed our current programs, identified areas for improvement, and developed innovative strategies to enhance the lives of individuals and families affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
A particular highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to connect with our Adelaide members during a special gala dinner on Saturday evening. It was wonderful to share updates on the Society’s work and hear directly from our community. We were also honoured to have Professor Sillence join us for the dinner, and his insights and ongoing support are invaluable to our mission. The evening was filled with camaraderie and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.

The energy and dedication of the board members throughout the weekend were truly inspiring. We left the retreat feeling energised and unified in our vision for the OI Society of Australia. The strategies developed during this meeting will guide our efforts over the next two years, ensuring we continue to provide vital support, resources, and advocacy for our members.
We look forward to sharing more details about our upcoming initiatives in the near future. Thank you to all our members for your ongoing support, which makes our work possible.

Stay tuned for updates!
