  1. I’ve rarely felt like I was almost looking in a mirror when it comes to real life stories but watching Jodie’s doco and listening to her talk about her everyday life, at times it felt like she was telling “My real life story”..I was diagnosed with OI type 1B at 9months old when I had my first fracture & even though my OI is definitely not as severe as Jodie’s I’ve had 186 fractures which puts me on the more severe side of the mildest category of OI. I have just one Big Brother (3yrs older also) who struggled in the same ways but he is also my Biggest Fan too. I have the most amazing Mum & Dad (fortunately still married) who let me live & learn and just dealt with the fractures as they happened..without them I wouldn’t have the independence and strength I have today..I love dogs (cats too) more than people as well lol and my glass is always half full despite very similar experiences I’ve had with potential employers when I first entered the workplace and even though I wasn’t reliant on a wheelchair, being born & raised in a country town with a rare condition meant everyone knew I was the fragile little person..I still remember one interview where all the guy asked me was how many broken bones have I had and how often does it happen etc etc. I realise this doco was 9yrs ago now but Jodie not only do I think u are actually beautiful looking and 💯 could model if we lived in a world that freely accepted the “differently-abled” but u are incredibly real..Much love & respect from a differently-abled Sista x
